MESA, Ariz. --- The Park University Gilbert beach volleyball team (2-1, 0-1) defeated the Simpson University Red Hawks (0-1) by a score of 3-2, Thursday morning at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.
The Buccaneers got back in the win column with three pairs winning their matches in two sets. The one set in this match that went three sets was the 1s pair, which went in favor of Simpson.
Park-Gilbert now moves to 2-0 at home this season, and 3-0 all-time against Simpson.

The Bucs return to the court next Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. MST, when they face the La Sierra University Golden Eagles. From Feb. 18-20, Park-Gilbert will be hosting a Great Southwest Athletic Conference round robin at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz. The GSAC features four of NAIA's Top 10 teams: No. 1 OUAZ, No. 4 The Master's, No. 5 Arizona Christian, and No. 9 Hope International. Conference foes Benedictine Mesa and La Sierra have also received votes in the NAIA Top 10.
